Ohio BBQ Kitten (with Suburban Park Swan)

I’m not sharing my own kitchen failures today, but the prompt reminds me of an epic and awful food I keep hearing about (people eating pet animals- trigger warning!?).

Alf would have loved this  👽 🙏 🐈‍⬛️

I don’t know the supposed dog and cat recipe, so I imagine one would just baste the carcass with a sauce. My daughter likes a barbecue brand called Sweet Baby Rays and I look for one that’s somewhat spicy when I shop for her, but I generally just grab the Wegmans store brand. Some people do barbecue on a rotating spit, or a grill but I don’t enjoy cooking much at all. I think I’ve seen BBQ sauce required in a crock pot meal though. Dwelling on this aspect is disturbing, sorry, but I do wonder what culinary preparation is envisioned by hateful right wingers thinking about this subject as well.

There has been such widespread rumor and gossip lately that immigrants in the USA are somehow eating Ohio citizens pets, but I’ve also heard it’s untrue. There was a real news story near where I live, last year, pertaining to recent immigrants who captured and killed a swan from a public park (the family claimed to have eaten it). The story unfolded over weeks and months, there were court proceedings about it and the park was forced to put in more oversight to protect their birds.

🦢🦢 😔 💔

I’ve never tried eating a cat or dog, but I don’t see anything really wrong with it. Worldwide, many people eat all varieties of creatures, and it’s sad in every instance (sad for the ones on the plate).  I’m not a vegetarian, but I do feel some kind of conflict and regret about animals that died for my diner.

There are undoubtedly cute animals being eaten  Every day, it is so sad for chicken, cows and more. The attempts by US leaders to hate-monger against immigrants by saying “they steal your pets to eat’ makes these unrepentant meat eaters look and sound so ridiculous. They are worse than ever, as if that can be possible.
