Snowy Polar Votex 2023

Snow is happening intensely, it’s called winter in NY and it’s brutal. The power at home is out right now and I’m dictating this to my phone before I go get into my knitting and take CBD, light candles, etc. I got a text message from the internet provider letting me know that there’s a service outage it should be hopefully restored in the next 4 hours. The whole apartment building has no electricity and from my window through a haze of snowflakes it seems the fast food and retail spots in the neighborhood have no more neon signs or lights on either. There’s no way in hell I’m going outside to find out how far the power outage extends but the way cars are driving slowly it might be traffic lights gone off as well. I have tons of non-perishable foods and wool blankets to bundle myself, I’m sure I’ll be fine, it’s just that time of year. Breathing the outside air when it’s subzero temperature seriously helps my anxiety in an instant way but I’m really not excited to try it right now! I let my loved ones know what’s going on and now I’ve updated my online diary too ❄ hope to post again soon
